Reality television contestants putting themselves up for auction is nothing new. Normally, these contestants are young 21 year old big breasted women who are aspiring to be models or actresses in Hollywood. What’s unusual this time around is reality television fans paying top dollar to get a chance to get within physical contact range of a shriveled old male reality contestant who looks like Keith Richard’s older brother that stays up all night spitting and farting.
So who is this guy? What’s the big appeal? If you don’t know him, the guy pictured on the left is 45 (no typo here) year old Dick Donato, last season’s Big Brother 8 winner. Dick who insists on being called “Evel Dick” was stuck inside the Big Brother house with his estranged 20 year old daughter Daniele Donato who was raised by her paternal grandmother. Throughout the season, Evel Dick was notorious for his foul mouth, bullying female housemates, and embarrassing his daughter. Despite failing to change the image of deadbeat dads across America, Evel Dick’s trailer trash persona somehow won over the hearts of Big Brother TV viewers and fans who voted to help him win the $500,000 grand prize. (This event might explain why Americans voted George Bush for president twice.)
Evel Dick is currently on auction at eBay. No, he’s not selling his soul (yet), but he offered to put himself up for a date on finale night of Big Brother 9 later this month. Fans have been bidding like crazy with the current highest bid past 5 grand.
